Necessities for a Casino Party

First of all, you are going to want to make sure you have all the right gaming supplies. It can't be a Casino party unless you have casino games. The market is absolutely flooded with gaming products. Having enough activities to keep your guests occupied is the key. If you have too few games going on the party can become stale and boring. It all depends on how many guests you expect to attend that determines the right amount of games. Some classic casino games that should be included at your party are blackjack, roulette, craps and poker. Having the right set ups for each game doesn't have to be expensive either. Felt layouts and table tops are cheap and a great option for a party like this. All you will need is a surface to set these up on. Along with the gaming layouts, you may want to consider buying a poker chip set up. You will need enough poker chips for each game. The variety of poker chips available are plentiful. They range greatly in price also, so depending on your budget, you should be able to find something to suite your needs. Further more, there are kits available for certain games that contain everything needed to play, so you might want to consider looking into those. Having plenty of playing cards is another key element. Traditional playing cards tend to wear out quickly, so having enough to keep your cards fresh and in good condition will be important. You may also want to consider plastic playing cards. They are a little more expensive, but their durability will allow you to have less decks and will eliminate the need to replace a deck as often.

Once you get all your gaming supplies it is time to invite your guests. I would recommend having some sort of formal invitation sent to your guests rather than a phone call or word of mouth. This will give you a better idea for the number of guests while building the anticipation and excitement. Included with the invitation I would give a dress code. In order to make it feel more genuine and eloquent I would recommend a formal dress code. Men in suits and lady in evening dresses. It is completely up to you if you want to allow children. Personally I would make it adult only, it all depends on your friends and if that is possible. Having it adult only will also make it feel more like you are partying at a real casino, which is the idea right? When it comes to food, I would avoid a sit down dinner and lean more towards finger foods. This will keep the party moving and the action non-stop.

A Casino themed party is a great way to shake up your parties. It will give your guests something to look forward to and will keep them talking for months. If you follow these few tips your party will be a success and your guests will look forward to your next party.
